!! IMPORTANT INFO !!
1) First off to know, Crysis and Crysis Warhead are very high-spec requiring games and need al lot of high-end components to run. Keep in mind that the specs above are only the minimum requirements and in my opinion are not even strong enough to run the game properly. Warhead, however, has been optimized and run much smoothlier than Crysis. Lagg is the most known issue if your computer can't run the game properly, so especially the combination between your CPU and GPU is very important, as well as the RAM (4gig however is more than enough).
2) TIPS:
- Shaders is by far the option that has the most impact on the game and will visually change a lot at each option. Very high shaders asks for problems if you haven't at least a very high-end computer. (I can run it however).
- Together with MSAA (Anti-Aliasing), which is also extremely sloping and should be no higher than x4 (preferably x2 for counter-lagg).
- Shadows is another option which should be taken care of, as very high shadows involves soft-shadowing, which is extremely complicated, and can als seriously impact the performance of your system (however there is some debate about that, it just depends about your system).
- WINDOWS 7: Whenever Crysis/Warhead can't be runned in 1920x1080, this is mostly the case because your interface of windows isn't put at standard (100%), so do this by going to interface options in windows, and then take the option about making text and letters little or bigger. Take the lowest option (Next to it should stand standard 100%). Your problem should be solved now.
- Sometimes, as with me, whenever you adjust the options and apply it, Crysis will crash and return to the windows desktop. Don't worry, your options are saved however, and the game can still be runned perfectly. Just adjust once and for all your options.
- I recommend directx11 over 9 and 10, as GPU's with directx11 can run Crysis easily now. When you buy one, however, buy a good one.
- There are still some other issues, but these can be find anywhere on forums and such, but the most important ones are here. Good luck!
Crysis Warhead is an extremely beautiful and (literally) breath-taking game which takes you into the story and just obligates you to experience with your environments, shoot down trees, trow away objects and makes explosions whenever you can. The game is even more detailed with the new 3d-textures, the special new blending technologie from the CryEngine 2 (for the trees), the sea, animals, and specifically the physics, and destroying buildings etc... You are wearing a suit which has 4 armor- and 1 weapon option. Maximum Armor, which is standard, increases your armor and acts as a second lifebar, use it most of the time especially in Delta mode. Maximum strength increases your force when you use melee and also whenever you shoot, the bullets deal more damage. Maximum Speed seriously increases the speed, but is the most energy-taking option. Cloak makes you invisible, and is by far the most used option and is also very useful, use it well. For the rest, I have nothing to say about it, it's just great, I don't prefer Crysis over Warhead as they are both part of a same story. The gameplay is very unique, and really, whenever you buy a high-end computer, if you want to test about the maximum strenght that you computer can take, buy Crysis and just drop yourself into the game, and you will quickly experience the magic.
Crysis options:
- All options very high, including shaders, shadows and objects.
- MSAA x4 (In Warhead. In Crysis only x2 however.)
- 1920x1080
- Sound = highest
