Microsoft is skipping ahead from Windows 8 to 10. How much substance is behind this new name?

Microsoft says "nein!" to nine and jumps to Windows 10. Software analyst Jill Duffy questions whether breaking the naming and numbering cycle is a distraction technique, or really and truly emblematic of Microsoft pushing forward for greatness with Windows, after the debacle of Windows 8, er, 8.1. Windows 10 does get a few things right that Windows 8 got wrong, and Microsoft seems to be getting back into its groove as a company that's focused on business users.
