Here is a motherboard that really took me by surprise, this is the z270 gaming itx from ASRock, which honestly gets down to business with a very solid VRM capable of performing just like any other motherboard that is of full size (and higher price) for being able to support my maxed out i7-7700k at 5.1ghz in the dead heat of summer! The onboard NIC is solid, the dual band wireless performed flawlessly and also the onboard audio is quite simply phenomenal. There is even a slot for an m.2 on the rear of the board.
